Tab Background:

I have modified the tab obtained from Michael O'Neill (from the Shine site and other DG websites). My guitar intro is slightly different and sounds exactly the same as the CD version of the song. I have also filled in the guitar interlude. I'm almost sure the guitar intro to the live version of Shine is slightly different to the album version, and I have just tabbed the album version here.

Tuning:

I have had many of the same problems as Sorrowful in tuning to Open E (too much pressure on the neck and too many strings breaking!) so I tune down to Open D and place a Capo on the second fret. So tune guitar to DADF#AD from lowest to highest string and put the Capo on second fret. All chords are relative to the Capo. I have also changed the chord names to more simpler ones (see below) as I found using Michael O'Neill's notation difficult to follow when playing.

Strumming and Notation:

A very easy song to play, lots of quick chord changes during the song, some chords are strummed longer than others so listen to the CD to see where they change. Basically put the middle finger on low A string and third finger on high A string and this notation is moved up and down the frets to play the chords. Keep index finger free as this is used to press down an extra note during a particular chord (i.e. 2*). Here are the chords!
