"Flame Turns Blue"  By David Gray.  Lost Songs, 95-98.  Released June, 2000
Tab By Chris Campbell, 2000

Tuning Notes:
David tunes his guitar up to open E, then places the capo on the third fret.  I don't like my strings to be that tight, so I tune my guitar down to open D and then capo at the 5th fret.  Nevertheless, it works either way.  The guitar is tuned to the same tuning as "Living Room," etc, but the capo is in a different place.  All tabs are relative to the capo's placement.

For the purpose of this song, here is what I will be calling the chords.  They aren't the actual names of the chords.
Chord info:

MAIN RIFF.  This is the main riff throughout the whole song.  It is played during the verse's first two lines and in the intro.  It is pretty easy once you get the hang of it.  This song is all about letting everything ring.
There's very little muting.  This is pretty detailed, without strumming.  You can pick up the strumming from the
record.  The first two chords are played on successive strokes- G with the down stroke, GC with the up...

the void between us where the flame turns blue

break in splinters on the pages where I write

that if I lost you I don't know what I'd do
