Playing notes:  Since this is played on the piano, the higher notes in the chords mentioned above are not really played that much.  I have included the fingerings, but concentrate mostly on the lower 5 strings to get the desired sound.
The shift from E to E2 is simply a change in putting the pinky finger on the 4th fret of the D string (to mimic the piano).  It is a quick change, much like all the shifts from natural chords to their seventh forms.
You can leave out all of the 7th chords and get the song to sound fine, but the 7th chords make the tab complete to match the piano on the album.
The chord explanations look confusing, but it's just because there are so many 7th variations.

                       E    E2  A Asus
All of my senses overthrown
       F#m     F#m7       E     E2  A Asus  B B7
by the might of your skin
         E                           E2  A  Asus
and the lamplight on your cheek bone
F#m    F#m7       E       E2   A Asus  B  B7
drawing me further in,
     C#m                C#m7
no sentence I can speak
         B
for the wonder so unique
 C#m C#m7      B    B7            A     Asus
breaking like a wave upon the shore,

E         E2
mercy me,
    A A sus            F#m F#m7
I'm falling free
          G#m      F#m F#m7    E
since you opened up the door

E                                     E2  A Asus
See how the sky is made of sapphire
              F#m   F#m7                E  E2  A
the colours flowing through our hands,
Asus         B B7          E   E2  A
the moon is fire in your hair
Asus       F#m   F#m7             E                E2 A Asus  B B7
a million miles beyond what science understands,

C#m                        C#m7
smell that mountain heather
B                 B7
I don't remember ever
C#m     C#m7   B B7  A    Asus
feeling like this before,

E         E2
mercy me,
A Asus       F#m  F#m7
I'm falling free
          G#m        F#m F#m7   E
since you opened up the door

        G#                      A2 A27
and if every window pane should shatter,
         B2               B27      E3 E3sus
if every wall should fall apart,
        G#                            A2  A27
well it might hurt a bit but would it matter,
    B2            A2 A27   G#m  G#m7
this diamond in my heart,

F#m F#m7            E                    E2  A Asus
There's no need to nail it to the ground,
F#m F#m7             E                   E2  A Asus  B B7
there's no need to smother it with sense,
E                             E2    A  Asus
just listen to the rhythm of your heart
      F#m F#m7           E             E2  A Asus B B7
that pounds and trust it all to chance,

              C#m                 C#m7
'cause we're standing face to face
        B            B7
with the Angel of grace
   C#m C#m7         B   B7  A      Asus
and don't it just taste so pure?

E        E2
mercy me,
A Asus       F#m F#m7
I'm falling free,
E         E2
mercy me,
A Asus       F#m F#m7
I'm falling free,
E         E2
mercy me,
A Asus       F#m F#m7
I'm falling free
          G#m   G#m7        F#m F#m7    E
since you opened up the door
